Havering Cyclists’ Meeting 9th January 2017

Dear Fellow Cyclists,

Please see below the notes of our Havering Cyclists’ meeting on 9th January 2017.

FEEDBACK ON TRAFFIC SCHEMES

Ray will write to Cllr Frost regarding the proposals for improved pedestrian (but not cycling) facilities in Gubbins Lane for access to Harold Wood Station.

Also LCC have been setting up a web tool called Cyclescape to help socialise traffic schemes that affect cyclists at https://www.cyclescape.org/

SUNDAY CYCLE CLUB

There have been calls for the Sunday Cycle Club rides be restarted as soon as possible so we make start them again at the end of February.

MATERIALS

We need to stock up on literature and materials for our street stalls – Maps (nos. 5 & 8), join LCC leaflets, Tools for the cargo bike, and a mat for the cycle marking.  Ray is also planning an update to the website.

NEXT MEETINGS

Our next meeting s planned for Monday 13th February at JJ Moons PH in High Street Hornchurch. Just look out for the table where people, (or at least one person), are wearing red LCC or Sustrans tee shirts.

As always, see the web site at www.haveringcyclists.org for the latest news.

Regards

Terry

Young Again Cycles – A mobile cycle workshop which comes to you.

Would any of you be interested in a mobile cycle repair service whereby the workshop comes to you.

It might be at an event or on a training ride, a mechanical is never well timed affair. It can be hassle taking your bike down to your local shop and potentially loose it for a few days.  Thats where YoungAgain Cycles steps in, I offer a fully mobile service that can cater for many cyclist needs.

If you have any questions I would be happy to help.  Kindest regards. James Youngs
