Skyride this Sunday 14:00 – Tour of the Parks

Join us on this gentle 10 mile ride that really shows all the great things about Barking and Dagenham borough.  The route takes in a large part of wonderful newly created cycling infrastructure in the borough as well as some of the major parks in the Borough.  Along the way we will pass through Mayesbrook, Parsloes and Goodmayes Parks to name just a few as well as stopping off for a breather and to take in some of the beautiful lakes the parks have to offer.  If exploring your local area by bike is your thing then this ride is not to be missed! –

Visit the Free Prudential Ride London Bike Show at Excel Next Week

It seems a well kept secret that there is a major cycle show next week at Excel as part of the Prudential Ride London event. It’s free so why not go.

With a theme of ‘inspiration’, the Prudential RideLondon Cycling Show will connect and inspire cyclists and would-be riders of all ages and abilities.

Entry to the 2013 Prudential RideLondon Cycling Show is FREE, so bring your family and friends – and tell all your cycling companions. Many of the major cycling brands will be present, as well as a multitude of other exhibitors who will be showing and selling everything from designer water bottles to the latest GPS devices. One of the biggest stands will be devoted to Prudential RideLondon merchandise, including this year’s range of souvenir and technical clothing.

Two Family Friendly Off-Road Sky Rides this Weekend


Why not join us at Skyride’s two family friendly off-road rides this week-end.

The Essex Way Sunday 21st July at 10.00am

Starts Rainham station and goes to the RSPB Rainham Marshes and return.

This is an 8 mile flat off-road ride where you can spot a variety of interesting, sometimes rare, birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians as well as bugs and beasties of all kinds. RSPB Rainham Marshes is just a stone’s throw from London, easily accessible by public transport, on foot and by bike. Located on ancient marshland nestled beside the river Thames, it really is a special place to enjoy the great outdoors. – Register at
